There are no more towns. There are no more neighborhoods. Life in the USA today has dissolved familial and local ties. They are all electronic now.
Airplanes do little good, on the personal level. Few of us can afford to spend much time where we travel to.
There is something to be said about having good job opportunities and good public rail and communications, so that it is once again humanly possible in the USA to grow up in a town or city with your family and live there (and travel some, or move) but create a real community with a heritage and strong personal feelings lived real.
AND WE CAN STILL HAVE VIDEO GAMES~!
