Small Government Scandals

Whether it's the Boston Bombing, the IRS scandal, the AP brouhaha or the Texas Fertilizer tragedy (which is the worst of all, but all but ignored by our 'shiny object' ratings addicted news media) there is one thing you can say about all these issues...We need more, bigger and better government regulatory standards and staffing and that will take more tax revenue which rightly should come from the most wealthy who pay barely one third the rates they did in America's hey-day from 1940-1980.

The Texas Fertilizer Factory of death that killed 14 people and sickened hundreds of innocent people, had not been inspected in 14 years and at current staffing levels would only be inspected ONCE A CENTURY! They had over a thousand times the amount of explosive materials they were allowed by regulations and they were only carrying a 1 million dollar insurance policy!

The Boston Bombing and the IRS mismanagement both beg for bigger and better government regulatory and investigative powers. Likewise the monitoring of the leak of classified material to the AP which should have been stopped preemptively by good 'big government'.
