AT&T Scandal

I was falsely charged for over $1000 in phone and DSL services by AT&T over a four year period. After years of complaining by letter and e-mail and at least 40 hours on the phone with their agents, I was reimbursed about half the money I was owed. I have since dropped service with AT&T, but my outstanding bill has destroyed my credit rating!

LESSON: We need more and better government regulation in this country (as we had in the past when we could afford it because the rich paid triple the tax rates they do today).
-We need better regulation over corporations like AT&T who will charge all their customers service fees out the wazoo for late payments etc. but themselves pay no price at all for taking up half my free time for years with their 'accidental' false billing practices.
-We clearly need better regulation over the IRS.
-Most of all, we need better regulation over dangerous industries which get innocent people killed with their slack practices like the Texas Fertilizer Plant Tragedy where 14 people died and hundreds were sickened while the plant had one thousand times the combustible materials allowed by law and they hadn't been inspected in 14 years!

Yes, Small Government Conservatives were the victims of this lack of good governmental over-site in the IRS scandal, but their policies of cutting taxes on the rich and weakening government are what led to it! It's not fair and it's not right, but Small Gov. Conservatives are reaping what they have sewn. Now they want a Special Prosecutor, perhaps that is called for, but remember Small Gov's, what you're asking for there is MORE BIG GOVERNMENT. When the X hits the fan on your side of the line you see clearly the need for good strong and big government in the greatest nation on earth.
