Small Gov. Conservatives Caused Texas Fertilizer Tragedy!

This tragedy is the fault of ANTI GOVERNMENT CONSERVATIVES LIKE TED CRUZ, RAND PAUL AND MARCO RUBIO!
Without a strong well funded government we can't uphold workplace safety laws that can and do keep these tragic accidents from happening. We need better workplace safety laws and more inspectors to enforce them.
This once again proves that when left to do things 'however they want' corporations will cut expenses to the bone and kill people for profit with their gross negligence!
If the rich owners of this plant and their rich friends payed the same tax rates they did from 1936 to 1980 we would have better workplace safety and this nightmare would not have happened!

  1. This is dumbest most asinine thing I think I've ever read. You take a tragedy and warp it to promote your agenda. You really are no better than those who you bash in your hate speech, just obviously a lot less educated...or maybe you just think the rest of the world is if you think anyone would buy this load of crap.

  2. What I wrote is 100% true and you know it.. It is only through good government that food inspections and traffic laws save countless lives and it is the same thing in this situation. Better and bigger government inspections of this plant would have definitely avoided this tragedy and you can't wash the blood off your hands for being against that.

  3. So now I'm a lair, HAH. That's the best argument you have? First, they don't even know what caused the blast. So your argument is based purely on speculation. Your rants aren't the answers to the problems today, it's the root cause. I feel sorry for your stupidity.

  4. My stupidity thanks you for your sympathy.

This fertilizer plant had operated for years without any such tragedy, Clearly the normal operating procedures had been allowed to lapse in some capacity. Just as we hire police to make sure people behave within the law, rather than letting people police themselves, we also need a vigorous and well funded program of government safety inspectors to make sure industry operates within safety guidelines.

For many years we have cut taxes on the wealthy and therefore had to cut back on the size and quality of safety inspections in industry. I am saying that weak and bad governance of this fertilizer plant caused this horrible tragedy which killed many more people than the Boston terrorists have done this week.

I believe that the weak and poorly funded inspections of the Georgia peanut company at the link below, which led to the death of nine people and sickened many more is a good example of what I'm talking about. Clearly in that situation it was shitty and weak government inspections which cost people's lives. But it wasn't because government inspectors were bad, it was because there weren't enough inspections done. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324503204578318024027438166.html

  6. You are such a wacko loon! Thanks for posting your site URL so I can come have a chuckle. Your "journalism" is every bit as good as SALON's, by the way. (That's not a compliment).

    1. Read more about the Texas Fertilizer Plant explosion (from my post below) and the tragedy of the lack of media coverage of it, versus the Boston Bombings, here in the Washington post via In These Times Magazine...
