We need to bring back the Fairness Doctrine.

What we see happening today with fake news 'propaganda' posing as truth, is exactly what the Fairness Doctrine was designed to defuse and it worked very well from 1949 to 1987, before Ronald Reagan ended it. 
Reagan ended the FD and we've been becoming ever more dysfunctional as a society, trying to communicate and progress, since then.
I recall clearly (as a child growing up in the 1960s) listening to the radio and hearing 'editorial commentary' allowed by the Fairness Doctrine. It really intrigued me to note that the radio station would allow 'opposing viewpoints' as a matter of practice. I thought then (as a 9 year old) that this seemed like a good idea. I still think it's a good idea today and ever more important. These Airwaves are our Airwaves!
