Everything we do affects us all

To be the first AfrAmerican elected President in the United States you MUST be the smartest person in the country!

I have trusted President Obama through thick and thin and I have been proven right on any number of difficult internal and external crisis points. Once again he is leading our nation through troubled waters on this budget battle where he is facing unprecedented obstruction from the far right. The Republicans are trying to rewrite our nations federal laws through funding shenanigans. President Obama is saying NOT ON MY WATCH!

Thank you for your leadership Mr. President. Keep rocking Democracy while the R's are saying 'America isn't a Democracy, we're a republic.' What in hell does that mean. Run on that Republicans...'America is not a Democracy'. HAHAHA...bye!

  1. Will someone please give chipshirley the definition below, it seems he doesn't know what the word republic means.

Republic (noun) - a country that is governed by elected representatives and by an elected leader (such as a president) rather than by a king or queen
    reference: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/republic

By the way- In a republic, a CONSTITUTION or charter of rights protects certain inalienable rights that cannot be taken away by the government, even if it has been elected by a majority of voters. In a "pure" democracy, the majority is not restrained and can impose its will on the minority. Now you know what it means when someone says the U.S. is a republic. That is just simply a fact. And that is why Mr. Obama and the left are having such a difficult time forcing their will on Americans.

  2. We started as a Democratic Republic and we still are. Our founders, though of great means and sway shared their power. We were a democracy first, before our constitution was written and we will stay that way.

  3. Look buddy, democracy is implied when your form of government is a constitutional republic ... represenative democracy. An actual pure democracy is mob rule, which is what democrats eventually want. You're getting yourself twisted into knots over something you don't understand.

Secondly, before the American Revolution the colonies were just that ... colonies under the rule of King George, and of course "King" implies monarchy.

    Things a bit clearer now?

  4. "I have trusted President Obama"

That's your first mistake. Obama is leading the country to financial ruin.

"The Republicans are trying to rewrite our nations federal laws through funding shenanigans".

Hey moron, the only person who has rewritten federal law has been Obama. The president has no power to change any part of any law but Obama has taken it upon himself to delay, change or delete several parts of Obamacare. Only the legislature can do that. It's obvious Obama has no respect for the US Constitution or the laws of this country, even his own laws.

Secondly, funding is the perogative of the House, not the Senate, not Obama.

Get your facts together then get your act together.

  5. Saying that Republicans are trying to rewrite federal laws is just false. The Republicans are just trying to get Obama to follow his stupid law! The only thing Boehner got was making Obama implement income verifications for Obamacare subsidies. That was in the law that passed (With no Republican votes btw). And everything else that Cruz and the Tea Party demanded was within the law. The House has the funding power and the legislative power. The President is to execute the law. Good luck 'trusting this President' on to your Socialist nightmare world he wants to create. Believe the lie. Be a sheep. But please man, keep your lame and uneducated opinions to yourself.
