President Obama Makes Great Case for Gitmo Closing

At the National Defense University President Barack Obama made his most impassioned plea yet for the moral (and legal) necessity of closing the illegal prison/human warehouse, in Guantanamo Bay Cuba.

With the aid of a heckler (whose cause he sided with) the US president at times flared his eyes at the moral outrage of the United States holding prisoners without any chance for a fair trial. He seemed almost to sympathize with the tragic hunger strike they are now resorting to.

The president repeated his previous statement that Guantanamo Bay serves no purpose better than it does as a recruiting too for potential terrorists.

He is right, it is a moral outrage and it can't go on and the million dollars per year spent to warehouse these people is the least of the rotten things about this policy. It is long past time for congress and the nation's governors to come together and put this sad chapter behind us.

  1. Another "Code Pink" heckler? Why is it the people who protest the loudest, never run for high political office?

  3. They can't catch President Obama with his zipper open or with his hand reaching out to accept a bribe under the table, so they just make it up as they go along.
