Leave Manti Te'o Alone!

Let's get this straight. No matter what his role in this whole affair, complicit or innocent, Manti Te'o is a very young man who, for all his fame, gets no fortune for living under the microscope being put upon him.

Manti may dream of big money in the future, but he gets room, board and tuition at this point for playing football and everybody around him, from his coaches to the media covering him get paid big money. This hateful dance of media bullying is jeopardizing any potential career he may have and any money he might earn from his many years of 'playing' this violent sport for the 'entertainment' of the crowd in the forum.

No matter what happened here, he is terribly embarrassed and he's just coming off of a devastating loss in his last game. HE IS A STUDENT, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!

Do we want to read that this young man shot himself tomorrow?

If our cold-hearted, money grubbing, corporate media had an ounce of decency they would relegate this story to the back page of the human interest section of their coverage and show some understanding. Maybe he is an innocent victim, maybe he told a big lie for some personal reason. It is just a sad story. It is not an important story in today's world. HAVE WE FORGOTTEN ABOUT SANDY HOOK AND AFGHANISTAN? Or are we just using him for a laugh to take our minds off our real troubles?

It's not fair for big media to use him as a pretty pinata to fill their ratings gap until the Superbowl!

Have a heart America.
