I don't blame hip hop for the negativity of pop. Even though hip hop is most of pop. The blues and r&b and rock and rap and hip hop have always reflected the times and I don't blame hip hop at all for reflecting the pain of the drug war and rich people economics. I thank hip hop for that.
But this is a new day. And I want to see all artists reflect it, in their own way. I can promise you that the conversation that has been started about taxation and the rich and poor and health care etc. is a conversation that a 57 year old man has been waiting for, for thirty two years!
Do not let this pass us by!
I'm not blaming hip hop! I could cite many references to the economics of the day in modern music. But I am so fired up and ready to go that I want to hear song titles and speeches dressing this stuff out!
Musicians have the power to change the world!
