As I was walking home just now through a tree-lined part of town a young man about 30 feet in front of me was stopped and staring at the base of an oak tree. As I got closer I saw he was shining a laser light around the base of the tree and a very frisky squirrel [50 degrees] was clearly chasing the laser light frantically and playfully as a young dog or cat might. As I passed I asked the fellow whether he saw it that way, that the squirrel was playing chase with the light. He said he did and we briefly talked about why to no real end. I think squirrels do play games of batting acorns around in attics sometimes. That's what I've heard it sound like on occasion.
Anyway. I believe that I (and my two assistants) may have made an important scientific discovery which will benefit mankind for all time. Here is the closest thing I found in a quick search. Prove me wrong world!
