Quit complaining Republicans. Face it, your party didn't even try this time around!
Look at the 2008 Democratic Primary field compared to today's Republicans seeking the nomination. The Democrats put up four, GRADE A Candidates, any of whom was seen as qualified to be president and who were all current US Senators. Senators Obama, Clinton, Biden and Dodd in 08 make this years Republican field look like a parking lot carnival. If the Republicans really think that president Obama is doing such a bad job, then why run a bunch of has-beens and nobodies? Gingrich and Romney (again) Perry and Cain; this is the cream of your field? Sure Romney made a decent run in 08, but he made zero friends and since then he's done a whole lot of nothing! No resume looks good with 'presently unemployed on it'.
If the Republicans had really been trying they could have run Boehner, Huckabee, Ryan, Palin, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, or Senators Thune and Alexander...In terms of electability and qualifications there's no comparison between this list and the current Republican field and I could name you ten more, better qualified and attractive candidates on the Republican side than the present perp-walk of a primary field.
Face it, the Republican party is skipping this election.

Would you play Lebron one on one? There's a reason they aren't showing up. The beating would be severe. If anyone thought he had a realistic chance of winning, one of them would've put his name up.

ReplyDeleteI'm tired of listening to the right-wing talk monopoly blame the Democrats first and now their own conservative journalists for deflating their field. It's their philosophy that's let them down. There's a time and a season for everything and the curtain has fallen on the philosophy of worshipping the rich.
