How Liberals Made the Tea Party

I'm from the South, I'm White and I'm a Liberal. While my Liberal friends put their fingers in their ears for thirty years I listened to Conservative talk radio and I heard the furthest of right wing politics thoroughly takeover AM bandwidths in the USA. I was and am to this very day shocked by the level of hate, violent references and outright lies I hear on AM talk radio. It is an utter and total monopoly of Conservative broadcasts throughout the southeast and the sun belt. We on the Left don't know how bad it is, because we have sat back on our snarky dismissive asses and let our ideals keep us from even getting involved in the political process or paying attention to the 'lesser' side of life. I guess we deserve what we got.

Meanwhile selfish corporate powers have put up a cavalcade of aggressive, hateful, male chauvinist, charlatans and they have thoroughly brainwashed tens of millions of good and decent people! Our snarky aloofness to the 'dirty games' of real politics and talk radio has messed up our whole cause in life which should be to try to WORK to make things better and not TALK ABOUT IT ALL THE TIME!

If you disagree please just read my masthead and understand that some people have been taught that that history of facts about taxes and government, which is factually truthful, is in fact a fantasy....?

We have to work to win, winning is a job and if you don't do that job you can't win. You might lose, but you can't win without trying and too many Liberals just don't try at all. Soo.

Three Rules For Liberals:

1. Yes you do have to actually pick a candidate and support them and NO you cannot opt out because 'they're all the same'. They never are [Bush V Gore?] It's not good enough to spend the time we did before the mid-terms argueing about whether the President should be primaried and then we got wiped out in the mid-terms? What good did that little tantrum do?

2. Yes it does do a lot of good to listen to the dangerous ideas we have on our public airwaves and to complain to that station and to their sponsors and to write letters to our newspapers. Write the FCC online if something really offends you. http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

3. Soo, we are headed for 2012 right now! If you were gonna support a primary challenge to any upcoming elected office you should have already jumped on that wagon by now. So, get the hell to work! Pick a candidate, in some race, somewhere and support them!

  1. I have to agree with you. The right-wing takeover of the GOP and the creation of a new American fascism did not happen in secret. People have been screaming in the wilderness about it for years. The problem is that the only people with the power to fight the fanatics, the Democratic Party and its liberal elites, chose to turn their backs and pretend that the GOP was still the loyal opposition and not the enablers of a murderous fascism that defines "liberals" the way the Third Reich defined Jews. Evil gains power because good people avoid the unpleasantness of fighting back until they finally have no choice.

  2. That's very true, I hope it's not too late! Thanks for the comment, Chip

  3. Unfortunately we've let it go so far that the democrats have to have corporate sponsorship in order to compete. Money changes everything.
I'm afraid that it's the core value system of our culture that needs to be changed, not just the party in power.

  4. That's true and even if we had 100% federal financing of elections and allowed no corporate donations we would still have to deal with the Fox News sponsorship of the Rs and the total AM domination by conservative radiio hosts who are to the Right even of Fox!
