The market was shooting right on up until the Tea Party Republicans enacted their first big idea, which is to hold the American Economy hostage with the threat of crashing our nation's debt ceiling if they don't get their way on spending cuts on things they don't like. Of course they never really give a clue what they want cut specifically. Sure they find some bad example of one kind or another within certain programs they don't care for but they haven't even scratched the surface of suggesting specific cuts that would reach their stated goals.
THEY WANT TO SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN.
The Tea Party Republicans are 'supposedly' patriotic citizens who love America, but who simultaneously despise the entire US government outside of the military and they despise every economic lesson we learned from the 1929 Crash and Great Depression.
These people have a 'Jonestown' mentality and the new Jim Jones is Grover Nordquist, the man whose stated goal is to murder the United States Government.
This simple minded cult shares the same simple mind of all the hateful cults in history, from Jones to Hitler and the Nazis to Bin laden and al Qaeda... All psychos share the insane idea that they have discovered the secret formula to seeing every thing as pure right or pure wrong and then they and their followers sink into the warm bath of no longer having to do the stressful work of 'thinking'.
And another thing about the Tea Party Republicans...these are the same stinking thud puckers who were at the core of the W Bush Clan, they've just 're-branded'.
As to why the rich should pay more, or at a higher rate, while some poor pay nothing? When this nation was founded and there was no federal income tax at all, we still had land armies and a Navy and fought wars and built roads and bridges and damns and funded research and paid our politicians...and do you know how we did that?
IMPORT TARIFFS-AND IMPORT TARIFFS WERE PAID ONLY BY THE RICHEST BUSINESSMEN OF ALL. It was taken for granted by our founding fathers that the wealthiest 'winners' in the capitalism casino had to pay the bills and nobody complained that the lowly sharecropper used the public roads he paid not a dime for to take his crop to market...and the poor man has never been made rich for giving life and limb to defend this land either...What price on that my foolish friends?
