Everything we do affects us all

I hereby endorse Ron Paul in the Georgia Republican Primary!

Look Out Republicans, Here He Comes!
I'll tell you something that I think is big news (and this is from someone who will vote for President Obama) Ron Paul announcing he will retire from congress to focus on this presidential race could boost him in the polls in my opinion if he truly does the 'relocation thing' to Iowa and New Hampshire. Those are two states he can play well in and he could possibly come out ahead after those first two primaries (if he does the knock on every door thing) and then look out, all bets are off.

And remember...since President Obama has no primary opponent of consequence and probably won't, Democratic voters in most states will be free to 'vote for fun' in the Republican primary and truthfully, Ron Paul is their favorite Republican and frankly he'd have as good or better a chance at winning as the others if you ask me. At least then we'd have two genuine people in the race, in my opinion. God bless America.

  1. Dixie, It sounds like an interesting concept. Are you able to switch you party membership back to dem in time to be able to vote in the fall election?

I spend a lot of time on The People's View--someone brought you to our attention.
I will put you on my favorite list, and I will try to stop in occasionally. Very interesting, as some say. Dorothy Rissman

  2. Thanks Dorothy,

I have a link to The People's View on my front page and to The Only Adult in the Room. They're both great sites and I wish they would add me to their blog rolls! But that's okay, we're all siblings in arms and my love for them is unconditional! Just like for President Obama!

To your point on primary and general election voting. I do know for sure that individual states have a lot of control and they all vary somewhat with their rules. Here in Georgia, doing what I suggest is a piece of cake. In primaries here you must ask for a Democrat Party or Republican Party (or Libertarian) ballot. There is no checking to see what if any party one is a member of. So, I plan on asking for an R ballot and voting for Paul even though there is a 100% chance that I will vote for President Obama in the general. I actually did this last time because I knew that Senator Obama was polling to win the GA Primary by 40%, which he did 66% to 31% over Hillary. My biggest fear was McCain and Giuliani's militarism and what that might lead to so I cast a 'strategic' vote for Huckabee in the Republican primary. He has shamed me with some of his idiotic statements, but even today I fear him less than the rest on that side and I was glad he won the GA Primary. But again, I hop my site makes it crystal clear that I thin President Obama is truly the greatest prez ever! Peace.
