Is it possible that something very positive might come from the heated debate over the Islamic cultural center being planned in lower Manhattan?
I think the best possible plan for rebuilding on the site of such a tragedy is for it to become a center for all religions to come together...
Building a Mosque near Ground Zero is actually an idea that I think all faiths should consider joining in on.
If all faiths were to build houses for peaceful worship and cross cultural outreach there, this would truly carry forth in the clearest way possible the message that Americans utterly condemn and dismiss the philosophy of hate and division that the terrorists adhere to.
This is the one thing that we might do on this spot of such great sorrow which would cleanse it of the wicked mark placed there by fools.
That while their crimes will not go unpunished, their values will be dismissed, and their methods shunned.
Also...If a Church and a Synagogue were added to the planned Islamic Center that would help to ease tensions...Not to demand it, but just to suggest....
