Donald Rumsfeld Book Interview with Rush

When I tuned into the Rush Liebaugh Sham this afternoon to hear 'Rummy' hawk his new book 'Gonads and No-Gonads' I fully expected the 'shadowless one' to have a lot of pent-up vim and vigor to push for more and bigger conflicts in the Middle East for the US 'Warfighters'; after all there's still a lot of blood to shed and treasure to burn on this here planet. Awe, but hells no.

Sure he's still the most self-righteous son of a bitch ever to walk the face of the earth (except for Dick 'Penis' Cheney) and Donny Rummy did do a lot of lying through his wooden teeth, but where was the venom? Where were the calls for a  lynch mob for the Left? Actually that's Cheney and Palin's job in the Professional Wrestling equivalent of a Tag Team-Triangle of Evil.  

Sadly (if you're cynical) and thankfully if you're not, DR just wanted to sell some books. Rumballs took up 45 minutes of El Douche-Bo's time bragging about his ability to cut and paste 800 pages of excuses together in a vain effort to explain the unexplainable.

There was still no effort to answer the basic question which our nation must grip:

Why?

Even if we had known Hussein had chemical weapons and an active program to develop nuclear weapons; why wouldn't we have eliminated those weapons with air power alone? If that wasn't sufficient to 'protect' the free world, why wouldn't the dis-abling shock and awe (which set Iraq back to a pre-industrial age) have been enough...

Why on earth would any sentient human being think it was a good idea to declare the entire human infrastructure (Police, Judicial, Fire Departments, Sanitation, Education...etc.) to be invalid and send a nation of 32 Million people spiraling into utter, insane chaos? And if the question is 'Could we have used diplomacy to achieve better results?' The answer is 'yes' and 'definitely'. The man was ripe for the taking, he could have ben bought.

There is no good answer for their decision on that. Rumsfeld was wise not to go there.
