NPR = GOP WHEN IT COMES TO SPENDING
Today on their morning show the co-hosts and guest chortled and giggled away as they explained how the Democrats were twisting words in order to claim that spending tax money on transportation infrastructure and education was 'investing' rather than 'spending'. The example they gave (voices dripping with sarcasm) was of someone convincing themselves that buying a bunch of new clothes, for fun, could be justified by telling one's self that they could also be used to apply for a better job.
Meanwhile Europe and Asia are beating our pants off with productivity and growth keyed by their mammoth investments in just the things the NPR hosts pooh poohed.
NPR may be 'Liberal' on issues like Gay Rights and Abortion Rights, but when it comes to money they might as well take their script from Fox News.
There is a reason that NPR is now pretty conservative. When Newt Gingrich in 1994 de-funded NPR, instead of you and me taking over and paying more, the big corporations started funding the gap. Now they have corporate masters, so they dance to the corporate tune. Sad.
